Nature 03:44
I don't want to go away Take me to the place We grew up in nature Feel the flowers on my feet Crush them underneath We grew up in nature Your hands are open Your law's been broken I don't want to go away Take me to the place We grew up in nature Spring awakens in the deep Havoc it will wreak On souls it may capture Soon, in smoke tomorrow reigns Wrapping 'round in chains Souls it enraptured Your hands are open Your law's been broken Your worth is shaken What's pure was taken I don't want to go away Take me to the place We grew up in nature
2.
Proximity 04:08
It's getting late Time to go With a hand on her, buried in his chest Take a dose Just breathe it in All those fumes There is nothing to gain, voluntary pain In the room Pick one or the other No choice in the matter He went with the latter Come back to me You'll never get enough of me Let's raise the stakes All eyes on them Cause it's one thing to blush but he gave her that rush With his hands Just take that curse Make it spin Carving prisons and locks, find that forever love Just not with him But he keeps running back to me Running, running back to me Coming, coming back for me Taking, taking love from me Til there's nothing left of us
3.
Should I slip and fall It'll be my fault We've carried lies all our lives Why make it stop I wish you'd look me in the eye So you can see that I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you I trust you, I trust you, I trust you, I trust you You can see that I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you But I don't want to Your heart is mine We're out of time
4.
Scoundrel 03:55
Don't you come around here There ain't no room Just pack your bags I win, you lose Don't you come around here You scoundrel Jack You broke my heart I'll break your back Scuff up your boots Suck on your chew Give me some slack Dip your hat like that Oh, you know your way around a dame Oh, you know that shame Don't you talk about me That shit ain't true Bygones can't be Because of you Rev up your truck Don't push your luck Biding my time I got boys in line Don't waste my time Better get in line It's not my fault So why'd I catch ya drunk enough and chasing tail Just one more chance darling Back out the door you dirty dog this ship has sailed I'll be better I've heard that one too many times to take the bait Please believe me You'll never fix us Oh, you know your way around a dame Oh, you know that shame
5.
Dhumavati 04:15
Hear the crows out when I lay me down to sleep Hear the crows out when I lay me down to sleep Her eyes know no bounds Her eyes know no bounds Formless, nameless Pray to God Pray to one love, one love Your voice Her eyes know no bounds Her eyes know no bounds Formless, nameless Your voice
6.
Our Own Home 03:04
Come with me Let's run away Take this hand Let's go away I know you're scared But it's not very far If you follow your heart Take this hand Let's chase down the sun Take this hand Let's run Take this hand Let's go Take this hand Let's build a home Our own home
7.
Wrapped up in a shirt that isn't mine Arms cold Take me home Your smile reaches everything But your eyes I must go from the moonlight I don't know how to be in love If all that you want is right here Show me I'm not scared Can't promise every little thing Will be all right Just fold your hands over mine I don't know how to be in love Don't let me walk away this time Don't let me say goodbye Cause I don't know how to be in love

Indie-Electronic duo Bassline Drift offer up their debut album 'Proximity,' out now on Gravitas Music. Producer-vocalist pair Keli Marks and Rachel 'Sink' Lindsay prove to be a potently powerful combination, blending hypnotic vocal dexterity and bass-filled electronic elements that captivate the listener from the onset. Stylistically, the songs draw from worldly and imaginative influence, with both upbeat and slower treasures contained within. The follow up to last year’s 'Ten Moons' EP, this new full length LP consists of seven original tracks and two remixes from producers Nanda & Kermode, and is available on all digital retailers.

Opening with the sensual 'Nature,' the listener is transported to a seductive fantasy realm by the provocative mixture of Marks' emotive melodies and Lindsay's sultry voice. Next, the title track combines minimal beats with somber verses to produce a stimulating, dynamic ballad. Alluding to struggles of the soul, slower tracks like 'Your Heart is Mine' and 'I Don’t Know How To Be In Love' are mysterious and haunting hymns of heartache laid upon delicate rhythms. Effortlessly, ‘Scoundrel’ snaps the listener back to their senses. A perfect pick-me-up, the tune is an entrancing fusion of R&B, blues, and bass filled to the brim with attitude. Dhumavati comes next; a hybrid of exquisite, middle eastern vocals and heavy bass sounds, the track is an elevation of intensity compared to the rest of 'Proximity.' Easily the happiest piece on the album, 'Our Own Home' features varied acoustic instrumentation, injecting the song with cheerful, feel-good vibes. Rounding out the LP, Kermode slows things down with a sexy melodic dubstep twist on 'Proximity,' followed closely by Nanda’s psychedelic, experimental take on 'Nature.'
